Dancing Legacy / Fusionworks Dance Center
Dancing Legacy shares the transformative power of dance through impactful experiences that pass on great dance to new generations of audiences and performers. Dancing Legacy has grown out of the life’s work of dance icons and collaborating sisters, Carolyn Adams and Julie Adams Strandberg, who recognize and honor dance as one of our nation’s greatest cultural assets. Dancing Legacy's keystone resource, the Repertory Etude, allows students, dancers, and the general public to have access to modern dance masterpieces for learning, performing, and viewing.
Dancing Legacy's affiliate, Fusionworks Dance Center, located in Lincoln, Rhode Island, offers ongoing classes that bring together communities of movers to share in the life-long learning of the art of dance. Dancing Legacy works closely with the Fusionworks Youth Ensemble, uniting the students with the broader field of dance. Fusionworks Dance Center also serves as Dancing Legacy's geographical homebase and is the central hub for much of our programming.
